A shaver with a hint of Braun

A rotary shaver designed specifically for women that uses classic Braun design language.

The Market

The goal of this project was to revive some of the classic design language of Dieter Rams era Braun in the form of a fresh and futuristic rotary shaver.

Braun currently builds hundreds of rotary shavers in all sorts of shapes and sizes but every single one of them is marketed toward men. Researching online product reviews of rotary shavers uncovered that women often use rotary shavers. Reviewers alluded to how much faster they were able to shave their legs when they used a rotary shaver.

With this untapped market in mind, I set out to design and build a rotary shaver with specifically women in mind.

"Hubby has had a Norelco Razor for many years. I think this is his 4th Norelco. He wanted one that was fast charging and he likes the shave he gets. I took his old one which still works perfectly to shave my legs. And ladies, you should give it a try."           -Chelliep, Amazon
