How do we build privacy in an open floor plan?

An eleven week project in partnership with Bobby Davis, Keegan Hall, and Chris Maeng.

Thinking Divergently

This project focused on furniture designs that inspires creativity in kids. This group based venture allowed for deep exploration into children’s furniture and made it possible to observe the final design in use.

One of the cornerstones of being young is that you can create a game out of anything, whether it’s a living room rug or a coffee cup. Divergent thinking has often been used by psychologists to assess a person’s level of creativity. What’s interesting is that as kids get older their ability to perform divergent thinking reduces drastically. Some of the world’s most innovative thinkers test highly in divergent thinking and we believe that there is value in fostering a space that encourages divergent thinking in kids.
